Can you think of that person in real life who steers most conversations towards them being able to reiterate how awesome they are relative to everyone else? Unfortunately, the main character in this book is one of those people.
The story itself is interesting, if you can get past the main character frequently taking time to make sure that, yes, us readers have not forgotten just how awesome he is for doing things like purposefully continuing to memorize important phone numbers (unlike most people who only save them to mobile devices without ever commiting to memory).
