Magic, magic, magic

The first twenty minutes of the book are okay. Not the best science, but okay.

Then the book becomes Magic, magic, magic, magic, depression, Explain things, Can’t explain yet, Magic, Magic, suicide, cheer up, magic, magic, magic.

This is an egregious bait and switch, there isn’t much science in this tome. Mix that in with an unpleasant character that has to be coaxed into almost everything by a creepy god-level character. I should have avoided this.
