The same tough talking, testosterone soaked world as the first book. If you liked the magic cards, dark setting, and constant fighting of the first book, you will like this one. The voice acting is excellent, the story is fast paced, the fights are well written.

My only criticisms are the relationship between the main character and the heroine being off putting due to age difference, and the author going out of his way to describe flaws in every other male character such as being fat, stupid, evil, or insufferably self-righteous. However neither of these are glaring enough to not enjoy the book, and the latter critique is common in litrpg anyways.
