Magic can make individuals powerful. Science can make civilizations powerful. This series really reminds me of this saying as this is a true mixing of Sci Fi and Fantasy. A great show of the conflint between such i have not read since David Weber’s Hells Gate. And this does it much better with characters we can relate to.

Goes kinda weird with the addition of a fourth world with the obvious hooks for the next set, but still a good ending. I’ve come to trust Morin and the directions he takes stories.
