I’m being so generous giving this one star.

The majority of this book is padding because the author doesn’t have enough material to fill out the book. That is pretty much all you need to know.

At one point, he actually describes his considerations for choosing a conference room verses an interview room because of the number of participants and the room dimensions. In another, he goes into great detail on the search warrant form, actually giving us a lengthy example of how to fill out a search warrant form, using a fictitious example that has nothing to do with the case. And there’s tons more like this – how the author once forgot his anniversary, how some judges are jerks with examples, etc. I thought perhaps we’d explore the author’s favorite flavor of ice cream next, or perhaps how he chose his children’s names. They’d be about as relevant to the alleged subject matter.

Yes, there are a few interesting tidbits – OJ sounded like he was on cocaine at one point – but they’re drowned out by droning, dense details of minutiae. Check the book out of the library and give it a 10-minute skim…this book is not work 7 hours of your life.
