I absolutely devoured this book. I have loved the Faith Summers stories I’ve read in the past, so I jumped on the chance to listen to this audible, and now I’m very unsure if I can wait for the next audio to release or if I’m going to need to “cheat” and grab the kindle version so I can finish up Caspian and Willow’s story asap. It was captivating, I just love the worlds she builds.
Alexander Neal and Sarah Puckett did a fantastic job narrating this story. Sarah has quickly become one of my favorite narrators and I am tempted to grab anything she works on to be honest. I’ve never listened to Alexander before, but really loved his work and I’m excited to listen to him on Cruel Promises when it releases.
The best friends to enemies to lovers to possible enemies again aspect of this story was really great. I loved that they had this rich history when they were younger that went sour after some secrets came out. Fast forward a few years to college and they just can’t stay away no matter how much they hate each other. I loved their chemistry so much and Caspian’s push and pull to protect her but also keep hating her was perfection.
The cliffhanger got me so good and I can’t freaking wait for the finale. We get two huge mysteries with no clear leads and it has me itching to pick up the next book right now. I’m going to try and be patient, but we’ll see how long that lasts.
