This book is very very good, but I believe the previous books are better. This is probably because the location of this book’s action is not Mick’s community. Also, Mick does not cause all the spectacular explosions that occur in the first books. Don’t get me wrong – there is a great deal of action and fighting, just not major explosions. A new and intriguing character named Shony is introduced. She is an agent from Israel and she and Mick have a past together. Now they dislike each other intensely. Shony has excellent and deadly skills and does not flinch to use them. Mick, Barb, Shony and Dr. Marty go on a mission to take out terrorists that were involved in the devastating attack on the US – the one that brought down the country. There are cells still hiding in the US. There is great action and a lot of hand to hand fighting. Also, Shony gives Mick some information that is life changing. We should learn more in the next book of the series.
The narrator is Kevin Pierce and he is fantastic. His performances enhance any book he narrates.
