Let me start by saying I don’t like Mia and that might be the main reason I don’t enjoy these books as much as I could. That said I was expecting ‘dark and edgy’ both because of my previous experiences with [author:Anna Zaires|6550220] writing and because of the blurb of [book:Close Liaisons|29869384].
Simultaneous while listening to these audiobooks I have started to reread the [book:Twist Me|31847592] series. Where these books become more dark and grim as the story progresses, this story doesn’t seem to evolve. Where Nora, Julian and their relationship grow and change, this doesn’t seem to happen with Korum and Mia.
The author describes a futuristic world in a way that I’m almost part of it. The storyline isn’t bad at all. Still I even got a bit bored nearing the ending of the book and I almost decided I would get the third book. Well almost, because there was a twist at the end that had me perking up again.
So I probably will be getting and reading the last book as well. But not right now.
