Loved the series Divine Dundeon first three books in this series tie in and tag along with the store line. However, after the first three book this series devolves into a attempt to make two different magic systems mesh into the already establish universe the writer had created. Although I don’t think this is a good idea for any author it was very poorly executed here. If you want to listen to vast amounts of numbers and how they may convert from a skills based to a stat based or essence to mana to chi this may be a series for you if you would rather enjoy a nice fantasy plot you can lose yourself in then stop after book three and make up a ending yourself cause they next four book all have the same issue or change after change to a system and an attempt to explain it away without advancing the story line. So yes I am giving this book 5 stars but not the series as a whole and if you have not read the Divine Dungeon series by same author I would start there first.
