I enjoyed the audiobook. I thought it enhanced the story. Made the suspense more intense. The narrators did an excellent job.

I started reading this book and did not put it down until the last page. I love it when I read a book and the person behind the crime isn’t obvious. It forces me to wonder and find the answers to the “who”, ” what”, “when”, ” where”, and “how” questions.
I also really like that the characters in this book are mature. Late 30’s and 40+ provide a very different perspective from the early 20’s – 30 yo romance books. A nice twist in this book was the later in life unexpected surprise.
I liked both Sully and Pippa’s characters. Given their rocky beginning, I appreciated that their discomfort and/or angry did not drag out through the majority of the book.
Based on their initial encounter, I thought it was sweet the way Sully made a real effort with their relationship. I had to respect Pippa for not holding a grudge. I really liked the way they came together because they ultimately wanted to be together.
Let me not forget the mystery, suspense, action, danger, and intrigue. This book gave me a bit of everything. I love the camaraderie of the team and the sense of family, love, and loyalty they show one another. Add in the romance and heat, this for me was a 4.5 star read.
