I listened to Pulse by Adriana Locke, narrated by CJ Bloom and Connor Brown, and truly enjoyed Troy and Dahlia’s journey. It was charming, a bit angsty and suspenseful and thoroughly captivated me. This is the first book in her Laundry Security series and it is an age-gap, workplace romance with grumpy/sunshine vibes and it’s the perfect blend of a new start for new readers and coming home for those reading Adriana for a while now.
Troy enjoys pushing Dahlia’s buttons as they share some light flirty moments together, but neither would cross the line. Then Dahlia is threatened and they are in forced proximity vacation and all bets are off. Troy is reserved, no-nonsense and very protective. Dahlia was fun, full of sass and determined. I loved her character so much. These two shared some great banter and steamy chemistry. I had so much fun listening to this story and am excited to see what is coming next.
