What a wonderful and quite different way to write about vampires. Truly loved this story and its extremely well written. Jonathan has the HHV virus which is spread pretty much the same way HIV is spread but HHV is more contagious or it’s made to seem that way by the characters with all the gloves, sanitary wipes and disenfectant being used. The HHV virus is vampirism which can be spread from one person to another via body fluid. The vamps in this story survive by cat blood and human blood if there is a blood-bond. Mark is Jonathan’s agent/care taker. Mark deals with Murray who owns the art studio that sales Jonathan’s paintings, as well as picks up his cat blood, almond oil among other things that a V-positive person may need to survive. One day Murray calls stating a buyer wants to look at his whole collection of paintings he has on show and Jonathan decides he doesn’t mind going to meet with the buyer and said buyer chooses to buy all his paintings that Murray has on show. Jonathan decides he wants to celebrate, but not only that he wants to celebrate with Mark. this is where the killings begin leaving Jonathan and Mark on the run from A stalker. Great story characters are easy to fall in love/hate with. Great book with a truly unique spin on vampires. I enjoyed the book as well as the audio.
