I absolutely loved this book! Of the many Audible books I’ve listened to, this one rates in the top. I was hooked from the moment the main character and her husband stepped on the plane in the very beginning. The interaction between two main characters, Alaina and Jack, from their first meeting, then followed by catastrophe, and how their relationship progressed was exquisite. It was made all the more understandable when compared with Alaina’s relationship with her husband, Chris.

I was completely enthralled by the description of the plane trip; this took some real writing chops by Ms. Dunn. From there, the characters grew more and more real as the story unfolded. The humor, eccentricities and down home common sense of other characters contributed to their group bonds. While the book ends on a cliffhanger (it’s a series, after all), luckily book two is already out.

One last thought . . . IMO, the title “More of Us To the West” doesn’t do any justice to the great appeal of this book, although it is strangely appropriate to those of us who have read the book and understand its meaning.
