The story lived up to expectation. Love that Ish and Pip are back together again. However, having followed along with Ish from the beginning and listening to the author, Nathan Lowell, read the previous books. I was sadly disappointed iwth Jeffrey Kafer’s narration of this story. Lowell tells us the story, while Kafer merely reads it. Kafer’s voice makes me think of a 1920’s-1930’s private dectective ala film noir story. Or Rod Sterling in Twilight Zone. It was quite distracting. And the fact that Kafer mispronounced many words had me verbally correcting his speech at times.
