Worlds Apart is set in the same time and world as the previous four books, but it gives us a glimpse of where Allen has been and what he’s been doing since “the day”. I, like so many of C. A. Rudolph’s readers, have been wondering about his absence and needing to know if he was alive, and if so, what he was experiencing. While some time had indeed been spent wondering, I would never have guessed. The plot is well written, answers many questions and tugs at the heart strings. While I’m not necessarily happy about the direction of the story, it drew me in quickly and kept me glued to my iPad until I finished the Audible book. The author has included a lot of action and suspense, while forcing emotional responses and providing enough of the backstory. Kevin Pierce is a phenomenal narrator who brings the words to life through his voice. I would highly recommend this series and this book.
