I read the ebook a while ago but I love Joel Leslie so listening was a no-brainer for me. His performance is great as always!
I’ve honestly come to love Ms. Morton’s books so much that she’s an auto-buy/read for me. I love the snark/banter between all the characters, I love the sweet and mush between the lovers and the stories always just work for me. Friends-to-lovers is probably one of my favorite tropes especially when the friends are as close as Charlie and Misha.
While Charlie is touted as being the ‘perfect’ character it’s actually Misha that shines for me. He may be a bit grumpy and a little stuffy but the way he treats Charlie and the things he says and does for him made me absolutely love him.
I’m not sure how they didn’t see what was right in front of them all along as they clearly loved each other in a way that was more than being just best friends. Either way, I loved seeing them figure it out and fall in love!
It also looks like Max and Felix aren’t quite done yet either…
There is an awesome bonus scene the author provides at the end which is a freebie through her mailing list. This is a definite must-read especially now when we all need some light, fluffy, sweet romance in our lives!
