I was a little concerned starting Risk Taker, after having read a couple reviews from GR friends, but maybe listening to this instead of reading it made the difference, because I loved it!
Friends to lovers is my favorite trope so I was all in with Henry and Ivo. My only issue with this trope- I want them to open up to each other sooner! If they just told the other how they felt, things wouldn’t be so hard. But on the other hand, I understand why they don’t- who wants to ruin a wonderful friendship?
I did get mad at Henry a couple of times, when he’d get angry with Ivo- I think he was a little out of line. But I appreciated when he realized how he reacted and made up for it.
I loved the notes at the start of each chapter, giving us a glimpse of these 2 growing up!
I’m really happy with the way things worked out for them.
Joel was outstanding as usual. He really makes you believe you’re listening to multiple people, not just one person. He’s just so talented!
