The only improvement I recommend for Dark City is that it be longer! Morgan Rook, our supernatural detective, is himself still uncovering details of his parentage and early life in this first book, so I’m looking to future installments to provide more insight into Rook’s character, taking us readers on a journey of discovery alongside his character. Lots of action, weaponry, and paranormal creatures kept me interested and curious about what strange thing would happen next. I’m sure the series will be great judging by how good this first book was!
Shawn Compton gives a fantastic narrative performance with plenty of energy and enthusiasm in each character he portrayed. Looking forward to the next book in the series!
