I would like to be able to say this book out did the first one and was very easy to follow. But the whole book involved nothing more than people buying up all the guns and ammo they could get their hands on so they could go camp out the tribulation in a small cabin in the middle of no where. I am not opposed to the story having guns and the characters having to take refuge in an inconspicuous place. But there was no story advancement and the characters did not have separate personalities. I was pretty bored hearing it. The title of the book is Persecution. Yet there was no persecution actively going on. Or at least not involving any of our characters. The story should have been called “Stocking up weapons and hiding out.”
