This was so difficult to listen to because of all the biases and abuses of Jules’s parents and cohorts. People who are supposed to love you unconditionally treat you the worst. When Jules’s parents confronted him with their homophobia it made me feel sick to my stomach. The biases and lack if support were staggering and hurt my soul. I empathized with the couple and the hopelessness of their situation. Vicky was plain vile and I despised her. Payback to the parents was a sweet treat and finally made mom wipe the scales from her blind eyes. Shame on her for ignoring the problems so long. Great epilogue. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job bringing it to life.
