Now, I love post apocalyptic stories and expect violence but these books are a bit much

Mix that with some rather perv centric parts of the books its just over the top for most folks.

The story line is unique, I will give it that. With that said, the build up to the apocalypse is very slow, wordy and the vernacular used comes across as a 1960s cheesy detective story.

I like some of the other books by Ryan, but this series just was not my cup of soup.

The only saving grace was Kevin Pierce as the narrator.
