This was my first Mari Carr audiobook and it was a delight. I was expecting some fast paced in the romance department, but I liked the slow burn steamy build up. Lochlan and May had instant, intense chemistry. Lochlan was so dreamy, he claimed he was not looking for love, but once May walked into his life he was a goner and the Collin’s love curse got him good! He fell for her hard and fast and he was so protective of her and her mom and nieces, it was so sweet to read about. I really liked May, she was determined, strong willed, and loving. But her pride was definitely her biggest flaw that kept her from letting Lochlan in. Overall, this was an enjoyable listen with great narration by two new to me performers, Lee Daniels & Connor Brown. These two narrators were perfect as May and Lochlan and really captured their personalities and desires. I will be adding more of Mari Carr’s books to my TBR.
