felt a little cash grabby because of how short it was. felt like maybe the publisher split a longer story into short books. Characters a little two dimensional. Overall an enjoyable read. Not too many complaints. the heavy eastern influences on the cultures were a little off-putting. Not very relatable as a westerner. I like unfamiliar cultures in my fantasy stories just as much as anyone, but this wasn’t that unfamiliar, just heavily eastern influenced. Great if I wanted a fantasy kung fu book. Not saying it was, but it was close.
