I loved the first book, especially the production done by SBT. It reminds me of listening to some of those old radio programs from back in the day before people were spoiled/force fed what to feel by tv and movies, instead of having to use their imaginations.
This book was as expertly produced as the first. SBT knocks it out of the park. The sound effects add to the experience and the cast does an excellent job of picking up where they left off.
Dean’s characters are brought to life not only by the cast, but by his writing skills. I’ve always thought Dean was well written, and from what I’ve seen from each of his novels, he continues to perfect his craft.
Dean does one thing better than a lot of other LitRPG authors out there, and that is to create characters with depth. You actually get meaningful conversation between characters instead of talking as a means to an end.
Great book, great production, can’t wait for more!
