I liked that this book was just about normal people. And it read like it. And that it never veered into erotica, even though it was emotionally real and so much of the thread of the story was romance. It was refreshing to read a love story about two queer girls that wasn’t some hot and heavy sex fantasy. The story was a mystery, a drama, and a romance, all taking place in a relatable setting, like it could have happened to you and your friend instead of Emi and Charlotte.

Narrator did a pretty good job–I will say I could hardly handle her attempt at a South African accent, and for some reason her voice for Ava grated on me as well. But honestly, aside from that she did a great job.
