Like a kung fu movie, but in book form

If you like kung fu movies, you’ll like this book. The chi system functions as a magical system does in a western fantasy novel. While this novel focuses on building out the chi system and establishing the martial arts styles, I’m hoping the later novels focus more on the political conflicts which are shadowy and only lightly discussed in this one.
