I had high hopes for this but and while it was somewhat enjoyable, it wasn’t exactly what I had hoped for. I was hoping for tons of laugh out loud moments, but sadly I didn’t find many of those. Basically the book is a very down to earth look at what it’s like to be a stay at home dad. Were there some humorous moments? Sure, but nothing that anyone who has kids or has been around kids hasn’t seen for themselves. I was hoping for some over the top humor, not just everyday life. So while I think there are plenty of adults who will be able to identify with the events of the book, I don’t know if they’ll find reading about stuff they might see and experience on a regular basis to be all that entertaining.
The book is narrated by Andrew Wehrlen and as always he delivers a solid performance.
