Can we have more? Don’t get me wrong, I do not want MCs who know everything. I just want them to be NOT stupid. And more female supporting characters who are not all swooning and fainting all over the place.

This was an excellent book. I tried hard not to consume it all at once but I could not stop listening. I wanted action, adventure, intrigue, humor, endearment… and this delivered it all in spades.

My only gripe is the time jumps, but that is very minor. Not everyone wants to get bogged down in the weeds with the ‘slice of life’ genre. But if any character could enthrall you with the day to day minutia is would be this guy; He would be calculating optimal mana densities and plotting to overthrow the royal family while flossing…
