Lazy and illogical story.
The MC has been working as a Blacksmith’s apprentice for months and is level 4 in blacksmithing. Then by spending a couple hours crafting horseshoes he goes up an entire level. WTF was he doing for the last 4 months???
This kind of lack of thought is prevalent throughout the story.
Things just kind of happen because the story needs them to happen. Everything is extremely contrived. If the MC has 3 healing potions you better believe he’s gonna need exactly 3 healing potions, no more and no less.
Overall the stakes could not feel lower.
