The author was trying to write a post apocalyptic story like One Second After but missed the mark by a mile. There was no character development except a lame attempt at Lauren but it missed the mark. The story revolved around guns and that’s it, it was really lacking in any substance. The reader sounded too old so that everyone in the story sounded old and I found that distracting. He read too slow and paused at the wrong places.. I felt like this book was written for a pre teen not an adult.
