I enjoyed it overall but the dialogue makes me think the authors have never had a human conversation before and made me cringe a few times. Also, do we really need a whole side plot devoted to a bath? Half of an entire chapter is devoted to just that and it felt like a filler episode in dbz.
Narration was amazing as it was in the first book… five stars for them.
MC doesn’t really have a plan. It was irritating that the entire first book was solely lead by his becoming immediately obsessed with Melina after half a day of knowing her but now his entire arc is just following her around with no goals for himself. He has no purpose other than giving his body and soul to an elf he had only known for a couple hours.
Kinda just feels empty.
