One thing I have always appreciated about Will as an author is that he isnt afraid to have his MC’s constantly have their asses handed to them. I love an underdog, and that’s a lot of fun. I havent heard Shera’s side of the story yet, but I’m looking forward to that as well. That said, I found it so irritating to have to switch off chapters from the past and present. I eventually got fed up and skipped the past narrative because I was engaged in the present narrative and just wanted to see it through. I wish we could have just got the story straight from adolescence to adulthood. Otherwise a lot of fun. Maybe now I’ll go back and listen to the backstory straight through.
