I kept zoning out mid book. it could not keep my interest. Maybe it would be better if not obstructing a huge cliff hanger in book 2. The narrator is still the wrong person for this teen novel. A gravel-like voice for teens in love triangles and violent murders and kingdom overthrown is not a good match. The narrator would be great on Cowboy stories but not YA novels.
