I’ve been waiting a long time to get this last installment. I was kind of entertained, and that’s the main thing. But there’s so much redundancy in going over old story lines and so much melodrama. I guess you don’t get to this book in this series and not expect melodrama, but I wished muchly for more action. Or new character development. Or dialogue that wasn’t basically a series of declarative monologues. I spent the last few hours of it working and listening at the same time and I didn’t lose the plot at all. Also, why was Gavin narrated like a child? Couldn’t he have few words and still have a grown up voice? Makes the other guy seem like a real creep.
