I was in a lull. I could not get into a book. I found myself starting one, then purchasing another. I even went back and read old King novels just to prove I could still *enjoy* a book. Then…magically…Galaxy Outlaws found me.

I have to admit I am only halfway through this monster of a series (85 hours), but I couldn’t wait to post something. The stories are that good.

Morin turns the eclectic crew of The Mobius into real (people?) doing real things. You’ll hang on every word. This is not some audiobook that you will let drone in the background. It will force you to pay attention.

The attention applied to each character is magnificent. Every crew member is a fully fleshed-out, dynamic and meaningful entity. Everyone has a back-story that brings them into sharp focus.

Each mission is better than the previous one. This is not to diminish any of them. They build on each other, and the lives of the crew members become that much more important to you.

There are laugh-out-loud moments, suspenseful edge-of-your-seat moments, tender moments and some just plain far-out ones. It is a real pleasure listening to this work that Mikael Naramore brings to life in such eloquent and dramatic fashion.

I would recommend this series to anyone looking to break the doldrums of their audiobook lives. Five stars all around.
