S.L Roland comes through again. Death and Axes is a great entry into a new LitRPG world where you follow one character pulling himself from poverty using the game. Solid, relatable, character development and world generation. One of the best parts is the story isn’t ‘crunchy’ (genre term). It stands up without bulking up it’s length with excessive stats and pages up character stat recaps.
