I see a lot of negative reviews say they “just couldn’t finish” because of Elliot and his insufferable antics. But that is annoying. People loved the first book because lorant was a righteous victim. He held a sense of morality that people tend to strive for and that makes him loveable and charming. But Elliot is a very imperfect victim, he comes from a lot of trauma and author does a great job of show casing how victims fall into a toxic cycle that seems eternal. But if yall would simply get over yourselves and finish it, you would see some very positive character development. Elliot and knight are both f¥cked up and I personally resonated with these two the most and was happy to get knights perspective and learn more about why he is nicnamed Knight in the first place. It is indeed very fitting. Please give this story a chance and just remember Elliot is a VICTIM. Imperfect, whiny, and in need of a stern lecture but still very much a victim deserving of compassion. He learns his lesson so just give him a chance.
