I LOVE BLUE AND LEVI! And this author. Ms. Morton’s writing is just fantastic. You could probably read this as a standalone, but it does pick up where book one left off and you’d miss the start of their relationship.
I didn’t love the ‘spooky’ part of the story as much in this one as I did the first one, mostly because of Fay, Spud, and the Viscount, but I didn’t dislike it.
Blue’s wit and humor as well as his loving, vulnerable side make him an endearing character. His banter with Levi is entertaining and adorable. They truly are soulmates and finally get past their insecurities in this book.
Tom’s crotchety old self is awesome again! However, I hope we never see Fay or Spud again. The Viscount was irritating, and I just wanted him to go away…but he doesn’t.
Declan’s appearance confused me a bit…I guess that’s what kept Blue at the house and is the reason he continued endangering himself but there wasn’t much to that story.
There were hints at a possible future story with Will and a new character which I would totally be on board for.
Joel Leslie is outstanding as usual. He puts all the emotions and his heart and soul into his performance. I am amazed by his talent every time I hear him!
