This is your everyday best friends to lovers romance. It’s humorous…low on angst with just the right amount of heat to keep this novella a delight from start to finish. While I definitely enjoyed Freddie and Darcy journey to finally discovering what everybody else knows (their true feelings for each other). this was soooooooooooo much better having Joel Leslie narrating. His performance was on point and very entertaining. He’s on of my favs and I mostly listen to anything he does. I will say that I wish it was a 2 person POV instead of just Freddie’s.
