Narration: Jeff Hays is incredible. Period. Full stop. I feel like I’m watching a movie packed with action and range of actors when Jeff reads this series. Honestly, skip reading this series and just listen to the audios!
Story: I’d never thought I’d say this about a book with such a silly cover, name and premise, but this is one of my favorite books ever. I’ve had a blast reading the series so far, but the storyline in this book in particular was so creative and so masterfully told. This is easily the funniest book of the series so far; I laughed my butt off! You can’t help but love the characters and we get more on-page time with a lot of the characters briefly introduced in the previous books. We see a lot of teamwork and that element was fun. I’m just so in awe with every aspect of this book and how well everything came together, and with how it breaks up the serious plot of the book up with spot on humor without taking away from the seriousness.
If you like fantasy even a little bit, check this series out. I’m not a LitRPG fan in the slightest, but these books came highly recommended and I’m glad I checked them out. The writing is top notch!
