So far I have loved all of the Dungeon Crawler Carl books, this one, I would say, is my least favorite. The story itself is complicated and convoluted, and seems to drag on in places. It was hard to follow at times.
The narrator, Jeff Hays, makes the story enjoyable even when it’s confusing. He’s doing his best with the story as it’s written.
I look forward to the next installment and hope it’s a bit less confusing than this one was.
If you haven’t read the first three books, I would suggest you start the series with book one as the stories build on each other and the author doesn’t spend a lot of time talking about what happened in a previous book.
