If you enjoy Jay Kristoff books but with even more depth of character and a broader cast this would be the book for you.
This book was a surprise because the characters were so deep. I found myself really caring about each and every person involved in the story line and empathizing with all of them in the end which is not an easy feat. The writing is really evocative and the story line is interesting enough to keep you listening page by page.
The narrator does a great job, I was not sold immediately, but as you get more in to each character you can hear that the narrator has balanced his pacing in order to give you a sense of each person. A surprisingly good listen.
