The title says it all. I have never devoured a series so quickly and I cannot wait to see where the story goes. The books are all equally fantastic; fast paced with likable characters, nuanced baddies, interesting magical systems, and a focused plot line that doesn’t bog itself down with chapters-long exercises in deceased equine accostation. Don’t expect mountains of emotional depth to the story or the characters’ challenges, but the Cradle series (up to Book 8 as of this review) is entertainment gold that’s leagues above empty page-turning pulp.
