This series is okay but not great. The information given on everything is super incomplete and the plot moves very, very slow. There are A LOT of plot holes and weird knowledge gaps in the characters. The world building isn’t great either. I’m two books into the series and the war between the two alien types makes no sense because very little background has been given. All I really know is one alien type is “bad”, one isn’t bad, and the grass of this world is blue. All of this was true for the first book too, but I listened to the second book in the hopes that it would get better. It didn’t and the spice level is low.
As a side note, why is every FMC claustrophobic? Is there an epidemic of claustrophobia of which I am not aware? And why does the MMC know what a lioness is but not a cat, panther, or even a general feline description? What is a lioness on this world?
If you were interested in this series, you will probably like Ice Planet Barbarians because it is a lot better than this series.
