I was really looking forward to listening to this book as part of a series. I’ve only recently started listening to Audible, because i couldn’t find the time to read Steven Brust’s last book Tsalmoth. For background, I love fantasy and space opera series. I next listened to the entire Expedition Series. The narration is the best part and makes it tolerable to listen through the entire book. I really want to be hooked by the first chapter. This is one that took a few chapters to hold my attention. The most troubling part was the sexual scenes that really didn’t add anything to the book.
Considering that the book is part of Audible Plus, I recommend listening to it.
