This book is about the people affected by WWll. Most of the story is told in their own voices, their own words and it is an honor to get to know them. There is beauty and humor in the humanity of their experience and the sinking of the Gustliff is just the culmination. No one should shy away from this book thinking it will be tragic. It is triumphant.
