I went into Sparktopia not knowing what to expect, but I ended up really loving it—especially the characters. My only issue was with the pacing and how quickly everything wrapped up at the end. It wasn’t until I listened to the end-of-book summary (EOBS) that I realized this is the first in a new series. That definitely helped make sense of the ending.
I wouldn’t call it a cliffhanger—it’s more of an open ending, like a “dot, dot, dot.” It’s funny because I was just enjoying the story, minding my own business, when it suddenly ended, and I heard “epilogue.” I actually had to rewind a few times to make sure I hadn’t accidentally skipped something!
All in all, a fun listen, and I’m curious to see where the series goes next
