A lot of characters to get use to, which was overwhelming at first, but I came to enjoy it once the story actually started. It starts off innocently enough, nervous dates and bonds of friendship, then builds into a juggernaut of death and devious plots with a pretty solid ending. Kyrus is a solid lead ‘good-guy’ but Rashawn is easily the best part of the story. He’s decisive and obnoxious, and a bit of an overpowered child. Sure, he’s a murderous demon, but he’s a fun murderous demon and like that about him!

Mainly, I love that it’s over 60 hours for 1 credit, but hate that this is due to the plethora of unnecessary details. I know some people love that, which must be why Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones are still so popular. I, on the other hand, could do without knowing the back stories of characters that won’t be in the book long enough for me to care about them. Some of the dialong felt out of place, and I absolutely hate the magic chime sound effect they put in the story. Honestly, whose dumb idea was that? That person should be found and flogged!

All-in-all, I throughly enjoyed the story, the characters, and the voice acting. I would recommend this book, but perhaps not highly recommend due to the useless details and that god forsaken chime.

Oh, how I hate that stupid @#&% chime!
