The series is great the whole created universe rivals that of Star Trek and Star Wars without a doubt. This particular tale of Roak has him seeking revenge. Roak always gets paid for his jobs, and he always gets his credits even if it’s from the cold dead hands of one who betrayed him. This time, there is no job. Roak is in business on his own for this one and burning through contacts like he never wants to be able to get any information ever again. Knowing Roak is now something that could cause your death. In this tale new characters are introduced and old ones develop into deeper beings or in some cases find themselves without any future at all. Great story and live the development of Roak as a being. Wonderful narration. All these tales can be read together for greater enjoyment or they stand well enough on their own as great stories as well.
