If you find it surprising that your real reason for doing things is often different than what you think it is, then you might enjoy this book. The best chapters are on academia and on our beliefs. If you are an undergrad starting college, I recommend listening to it just to help you interrogate what exactly you want.
If, however, you have already read other books our hidden motivations, this book doesn’t have too much to add. I found it boring because most of it wasn’t new to me.
Also the narrator was like all professional narrators: bad. Not terrible, not unlistenable, but not human either.
